An entirely new sort of nonsense?

fmg Saturday January 11, 2025

A scientific theory must be falsifiable. This does not mean a falsifiable theory is scientific. Scientists are supposed to distinguish between necessary and sufficient conditions. Or at least, they were in the past. Maybe this attitude is out of fashion nowadays...

However, we can observe kind of bogus falsifiability as a new fashion, pretending to be sufficient to make a scientific claim. And this kind of research is funded by the tax payer.
